Preparing for Closing on Your New Home!

As the construction on your new home by DSLD Homes starts finishing up you will be contacted by your DSLD Loan processor or Loan Originator about your final loan approval. At this time, you will also be introduced to your Escrow Officer who will send you any final paperwork and get your closing date and time set up. Today we'd like to take some time to talk more about preparing for your closing.

DSLD Title recently rolled out a new portal, Qualia Connect, which provides a broad overview of the closing process. Buyers can access Qualia online and through a convenient app. This portal will serve as a short and long-term resource for all closing-related documents. 

You might be asking; how do I sign up for Qualia Connect? You can expect to receive an invite to Qualia Connect via email once your file has been opened with DSLD Title. This is generally done 30 - 45 days prior to your AOS/Closing date. Once your account has been created you can start tracking the progress of your loan, complete tasks for closing, and communicate with your closing coordinator.

This easy-to-use portal will make your home purchase a breeze! You can expect to receive a few things through your Qualia account before and after closing. The first being your confirmation of closing which will include the date and time of closing as well as the final amount due. The following documents will be added to your Qualia account 2-7 days after closing: the recorded copy of your Cash Sale, your Title insurance policy (if purchased), as well as information on filing for Homestead Exemption.

At closing, you will receive hard copies of documents needed to show ownership of the new home, all other copies will be promptly uploaded to the Qualia Connect account. We know you are excited about your new home and hope Qualia Connect will be an awesome tool making your DSLD experience even better.
